Mid Week Encouragement and Inspiration

Four denials from Lessons in Truth

First, There is no evil.

Second, There is no absence of life, substance or intelligence anywhere.

Third, Pain, sickness, poverty, old age and death cannot master me, for they are not real.

Fourth,  There is nothing in all the universe for me to fear, for greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world. "

God says' I will contend with those who contend with you (Isaiah 4(25) He says it to very living child of His, and every person is His child.

Repeat these four denials silently several times a day, not with a strained anxiety to get something out of them but calmly realizing the means of the words spoken.

When vexations and fears come into your life, meet each with a denial.  Calmly say "nothing can harm or disturb the sweet peace of my soul.'

Have you heard people sharing how much they enjoy our new Prayer, Meditation and Healing Service is? When you are looking for a quiet respite from the world, we invite you to join us for all or as much of the time you can of our Special Midweek Services that provides a 90-minute retreat to just relax and be present and let go of the busyness and anxieties of the day.  As you are willing, relax into a time of meditation and contemplation within the background of glorious Gregorian chants and soothing music, affirmative community prayer, interactive stations of devotion, one-on-one prayer and healing touch.

Our beautiful chapel offers an inspiring backdrop to devotional space to Light a Candle to the people; thoughts or ideas that you wish to bring light.  A Gratitude Wall to express your thankfulness to the Divine.  A Burning Bowl where you release limiting thoughts and attachments by lighting them afire in written form.  Experience the joining of Substance and Spirit in Communion as grapes and unleavened bread are taken in prayer.  And celebrate the seasons of the earth through purifying water in a moment of reflection in a space that honors Indigenous Spirituality.  Prayers at each station enhance the devotional experience.

Chaplains and Healing Touch practitioners may be present to offer one-on-one service.  This is an informal event, and participants are welcome to attend all or part of the service.  Come and enjoy the rich fullness of peace in this nurturing and healing experience.

--Prayer and Meditation

I have learned to walk by walking and to write by writing, and I have learned to love by loving.  I ask myself, 'have I loved and made peace with the earth? Have I nurtured her body in ways that heal? Have I joined others and extended the hand of God as a random act of love? Have I taken time to follow my passion, my bliss, and extending that outwardly with my thoughts, words and actions?'

No matter how may times I may look to the outer world for love, or how far I may stray from the principles of loving, every day I need to get on with the business of life, for life truly is for loving. I learned to enter into the laboratory of "falling in love with loving, and in so doing, I live my life fully and abundantly.

We are One

Divine Spirit, Today we focus on our Oneness...a day of action. It is a time for our dreams to come true...for our greatness to shine through.

We boldly set our sights on divine outcomes. As we lift our eyes above the appearances in our lives, we spring into action, encouraging others.

Joining us they joyfully share their talents to make a difference in whatever way they can help to create a world that cares for all.

Through our example, we inspire many others to take positive action and truly make a difference for all. Amen.
